About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Client Manager to join our growing Intellectual Property (IP) firm. In this role, you will be the primary liaison between our firm and key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery while identifying new business opportunities. Your expertise in IP law (patents, trademarks, copyrights) and client management will help expand our footprint in target industries (e.g., tech, biotech, manufacturing).


Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the trusted point of contact for key clients, understanding their IP needs and business objectives.

  • Proactively monitor client satisfaction, address concerns, and coordinate with attorneys to deliver tailored solutions.

  • Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to strengthen long-term partnerships.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective client accounts.

  • Collaborate with IP attorneys to develop client-centric strategies (e.g., portfolio audits, enforcement plans).

  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to build brand visibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and marketing teams to align client needs with firm capabilities.

  • Provide market feedback to leadership to refine service offerings (e.g., litigation support, global filings).

Performance Metrics

  • Track client retention rates, revenue growth, and satisfaction metrics (e.g., NPS scores).

  • Manage CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to document interactions and opportunities.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or related field (MBA/JD a plus).

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years in client management, business development, or sales within a law firm, IP consultancy, or professional services.

    • Deep understanding of IP law (patents/trademarks/copyrights) and industry trends.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

    • Ability to translate complex IP concepts into business value for clients.

    • High emotional intelligence and problem-solving agility.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and data analytics.
